How related is it to your job? With what you’re asking, it’s either related or totally not at all.

Your request for articles about demotion, termination and benefits of employees is so broad that you may wish to consider joining some HR mailing lists or go through the whole Labor Code.

Unfortunately, I do not send out articles by email. If I post anything on the site, then that’s where it stays.

Is it allowed that the company may deny your application of VL( with pay ) during Holidays especially this December? Actually I filed a 8 VLs (with pay) this December. I am currently working on a call center, for the past few years of working on the same company I don’t have any issues with this just this time. It seems that they are escaping from paying people who’s on VL with pay from paying a Holiday Pay. Is this allowed??

    Thanks…

    To Cebu Geek:

Yes, the company has the sole prerogative to approve, deny or re-schedule any VL, especially during holidays, or when call volume is high.

there is no issue on holiday pay here. if you’re on VL before and after the holiday, you’re considered paid during the holiday. if you’re working on the holiday, you get paid, plus receive premium.

    Thanks Patrick.

Another thing, they told me that I can still file for VL but they will change my schedule during the declared holidays as my day-off therefore during this date Dec. 25, 26, 29,30 & 31 it would be my day-off worst thing I am not paid for it because of the rule no work no pay. I guess this is not fair, right Patrict?
